Softball Recap: Livonia Wins Going Away Against Dansville

Livonia won the last time they faced Dansville and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Mustangs 13-1. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

McKenna Collins and Alex McKeel did most of the damage at the plate: Collins went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while McKeel went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI McKeel has posted since back in April. Ava Cook was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Livonia hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dansville struck out eight times.

The victory made it two in a row for Livonia and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Dansville, they dropped their record down to 0-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Livonia will head out to face off against Hornell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Red Raiders at the right time seeing as the Red Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Dansville, they will face off against Wayland-Cohocton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
