Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brennan). They put the hurt on the Holmes Huskies with a sharp 13-1 victory on Friday. Considering the Bears have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brennan has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brennan is set to square off against their familiar foe Stevens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Holmes will face off against rival O'Connor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
