Heritage Academy has gone 8-2 against Pillow Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Heritage Academy Patriots will head out to challenge the Pillow Academy Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. Pillow Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Heritage Academy, who comes in off a win.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Heritage Academy turned things around against Lawrence County on Tuesday. They blew past the Cougars 13-4.
Oliver Woodard and Collin Cunningham dominated on the mound. Woodard tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Cunningham tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Woodard has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Charlie Fowler, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (five). Another player making a difference was Adyn Westmoreland, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI.
Heritage Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence County only managed six hits.
Meanwhile, while it was Pillow Academy who put the first points on the board on Wednesday, it was Picayune who put up more. Pillow Academy lost 8-2 to Picayune.
Pillow Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Valente, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.
Heritage Academy's record now sits at 4-8. As for Pillow Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Pillow Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .433. It's a different story for Pillow Academy, though, as they've only averaged .356. Will they be able to contain Heritage Academy's hitters?
