The Dallas Academy Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. They were dealt a 92-22 loss at the hands of Community Christian. Dallas Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-11.
Community Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jonathan Blackburn led the charge by almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackburn has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Sipes, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds.
Dallas Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.7 points per game. As for Community Christian, their win bumped their record up to 21-3.
Dallas Academy will head out on the road to challenge St. Paul's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Community Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Immanuel Christian at 7:00 p.m. Immanuel Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
