Even though the Wasco Tigers scored an imposing 58 points on Tuesday, the Taft Wildcats still came out on top. Taft took their match against Wasco 69-58. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Taft also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Blaine Neudorf was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 42 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Taft's points. Ernie Laulu was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Taft is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Wasco, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Taft will take on Delano at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Taft is coming into the match with five straight victories at home, meaning Delano will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Wasco will take on Shafter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Shafter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
