KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vontez Scales led the charge by rushing for 177 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Shamir White, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Vaux Big Picture fell victim to Executive Education Academy Charter School's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Raptors on the road and fell 64-0.
KIPP DuBois Collegiate Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Vaux Big Picture, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
