Basketball Recap: Kaiden Asberry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Neosho over Aurora

Neosho lost against Aurora back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Neosho Wildcats took an 80-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aurora Houn Dawgs. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Neosho lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaiden Asberry, who posted 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Asberry is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Fisher, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 19 points.

Neosho now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Aurora, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neosho will venture away from home to square off against Monett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Aurora, they will head out to face off against Buffalo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
