Basketball Recap: Lukas Stead's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taylor Allderdice over Neighborhood Academy

If Taylor Allderdice was riding high fresh off their 68-44 takedown of Hampton last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taylor Allderdice Dragons fell to Neighborhood Academy 66-60.

Taylor Allderdice's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lukas Stead, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 boards. Stead is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Keith Taylor, who went 6 of 15 en route to 13 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Taylor Allderdice smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Taylor Allderdice's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Neighborhood Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Taylor Allderdice wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-50 loss against South Fayette on the 14th. As for Neighborhood Academy, they will welcome Monessen at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
