Pennsauken Tech's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gateway Regional. Pennsauken Tech was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Gateway Regional apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the defeat, Pennsauken Tech saw an underclassman step up: James Stout scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stout has scored all season.
Pennsauken Tech has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Gateway Regional, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pennsauken Tech will take on Delran at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Gateway Regional, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lindenwold at 5:30 p.m. One thing working in Lindenwold's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
