Hilltop extended their postseason success on Saturday against Edgerton. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 8-5. The victory was nothing new for the Cadets as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Maggie Altman was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Graham, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Hilltop kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Hilltop's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Edgerton, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.
Coming up, Hilltop will take on Mohawk at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Edgerton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
