The Berlin Redcoats will square off against the Maloney Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berlin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Berlin came out on top against Rocky Hill on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Redcoats were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Terriers. The Redcoats have beaten the Terriers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Terriers has come to flipping the script.

Callie Jehning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Julia Matan was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Andersen, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Berlin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Hill only managed five hits.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Maloney's offense. They came up short against Southington on Thursday, falling 14-0. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Blue Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Berlin's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Maloney, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
Maloney's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Berlin has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. It's a different story for Maloney, though, as they've only averaged .135. Will they be able to contain Berlin's hitters?
Berlin was able to grind out a solid victory over Maloney in their previous matchup back in April, winning 10-5. Do the Redcoats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
