After a string of three wins, The North Salinas Vikings''s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. The matchup between North Salinas and Alisal wasn't particularly close, with North Salinas falling 28-14. North Salinas has struggled against Alisal recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
North Salinas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Pascone, who rushed for 130 yards on only 12 carries. Pascone hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Ceralde, who threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns.
North Salinas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Alisal, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
North Salinas does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Alisal will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Rancho San Juan is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
