Texas Wind has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against The Stephenville FAITH Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Texas Wind focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
After soaring to 55 points the game before, Texas Wind were a bit more limited in their contest. They took a serious blow against Westlake Academy, falling 52-6. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Meanwhile, Stephenville FAITH stacked a sixth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by CHANT HomeSchool on the road to the tune of 72-32. With Stephenville FAITH ahead 38-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
The critical scores for Stephenville FAITH came from Will Gliddon and Preston Hyde.
Westlake Academy's win bumped their season record to 4-3 while Texas Wind's defeat dropped theirs to 4-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's contest: Texas Wind has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 275.4 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Stephenville FAITH, though, as they've been averaging only 113.8 per game. How will Stephenville FAITH fare against such a dominant passing game?
