After flying high against the Morton/White Pass Timberwolves last Thursday, The Raymond/South Bend Ravens came back down to earth. Raymond/South Bend suffered a rough 36-14 defeat at the hands of Toledo on Friday. Raymond/South Bend lost against Toledo in their previous head to head back in September, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-35 score last time.
When it comes to explaining why Raymond/South Bend lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ferrill Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played.
Raymond/South Bend has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Toledo, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.
Raymond/South Bend does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Toledo will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Tri-Cities Prep at 1:00 p.m. Tri-Cities Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
