Basketball Game Preview: Ardrey Kell Knights vs. Porter Ridge Pirates

Ardrey Kell is 4-0 against Porter Ridge since December of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ardrey Kell Knights will host the Porter Ridge Pirates at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Ardrey Kell's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Porter Ridge has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Last Friday, Ardrey Kell was able to grind out a solid victory over Nation Ford, taking the game 65-56.

Ardrey Kell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryceton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. That's the most points Thomas has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Brett Freeman, who posted 22 points.

Meanwhile, Porter Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 victory over Forest Hills on Tuesday.

Ardrey Kell's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Porter Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.

Ardrey Kell came out on top in a nail-biter against Porter Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 65-63. Does Ardrey Kell have another victory up their sleeve, or will Porter Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
