After flying high against the Cascade Cadets last Saturday, the Brownsburg Bulldogs came back down to earth. Brownsburg took a 60-45 bruising from Fishers on Friday. While losing is never fun, Brownsburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Fishers is ranked first).
When it comes to explaining why Brownsburg lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jordan Lomax. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with three steals. Grant Porath was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Keenan Garner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Fishers, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cooper Zachary, who scored seven points along with five assists.
Brownsburg has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Fishers, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.
Brownsburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Castle at 2:15 p.m. on January 13th. Hopefully Castle focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Friday. As for Fishers, they will head out on the road to square off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
