The Northside Vikings's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They blew past Delhi 81-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Delhi's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ge'ryl Barnes, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals, and Jay Wright who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. Barnes continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Dural, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Northside's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Delhi, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Northside will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Carencro at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. As for Delhi, they will square off against JS Clark Leadership Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. JS Clark Leadership Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
