The Harris County Tigers entered their tilt with the Northgate Vikings with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Harris County put the hurt on Northgate with a sharp 35-13 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for Harris County, who have now won four matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Mataye Youman was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 189 yards and three touchdowns.
Harris County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Harris County's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.9 points per game. As for Northgate, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-3.
Coincidentally, Harris County and Northgate will both be playing Drew the next time they take the field. Harris County will head out to face Drew at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Northgate will host them at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
