Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre Goes Supernova in Vela Win
Geoffrey Creighton Lefevre was instrumental in extending Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Creighton Lefevre did his part (and then some), throwing for 207 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes for the 'W'.
Vela's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Creighton Lefevre and Vela will face off against Rowe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jp Garza Has Career Rushing Day
Jp Garza posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 166 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
The victory was the third in a row for McAllen Memorial, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Garza and McAllen Memorial will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Juarez-Lincoln at 7:30 p.m.

Vela Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Jonathan Flores
Jonathan Flores was instrumental in extending Vela's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Flores as he rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 131 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Juarez-Lincoln's probably not too fond of Flores given he always seems to get the better of them. Flores rushed for 244 yards and five touchdowns on only 12 carries the last time he and the Huskies duked it out back in October of 2023.

Thomas Aparicio's Big Game Leads Mission over Palmview
Mission found a leader in Thomas Aparicio as the squad took down Palmview on Friday. Aparicio turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 113 yards on only 12 carries, while also picking up 75 receiving yards.
The victory got Mission back to even at 3-3. Aparicio and Mission will take on Rio Grande City on Friday.

Rowe Gets a Boost from Botello in 27-7 Victory
Rounding off our Top Five is Adrian Botello of Rowe. Botello threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 46 yards.
The win was the third in a row for Rowe, bringing their record for this year to 3-3. Botello and Rowe will host Vela at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
