Jones lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylon Darke, who scored six points along with eight rebounds. Gabriel Butler was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Jones and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for East Carteret, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-7.
Jones' road trip will continue as they head out to face Northside - Pinetown at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Northside - Pinetown is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for East Carteret, they will be playing at home against Pamlico County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Pamlico County's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
