Fans got a thrill when Andrew Morgan and Brandon Hood-Farley connected against Nucla. The connection was good for 58 yards, the longest such play in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this season.
Dove Creek's Chance Randolph recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Plateau Valley last week. Randolph's team topped the Cowboys as he sprinted for 59 yards on the play and finished with 106 in all.
Randolph was the most successful running back in the league this week. Colin Hobbs also contributed to the rushing game with 41 yards on the ground.
Nick Jones was the best wideout in A-8 West - Western (8 Man) this week as Dove Creek beat Plateau Valley. Jones tallied 2 receptions for 60 yards.
Morgan put up the best numbers in passing as Mancos bested the Mustangs. He finished with 3 completions for 136 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Dove Creek's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jordan Ernst has thrown for 574 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Jones has 12 catches for 224 yards.
The Bluejays are currently in third, while Dave Bristol's team is in fourth.
Norwood and Elbert played the closest game in the league this week, with Norwood eventually emerging with a 2-0 victory.
