Baseball Recap: Silver's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Silver's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Socorro Warriors with a sharp 9-1 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Fighting Colts as it put an end to their 12-game losing streak.

Silver saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Reyes has posted since back in March.

Silver's victory bumped their record up to 5-17. As for Socorro, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver will square off against Chaparral at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Socorro, they will take on Hozho Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
