Alisal has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 39 points or more this season. They breezed by North Salinas on the road to the tune of 77-38. Given Alisal's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 494th, while North Salinas is ranked 1020th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by Buchanan 72-44. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Everett Alvarez has scored all season.
Alisal is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Everett Alvarez, their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
