Basketball Recap: First Coast Christian Wins Going Away Against Parsons Christian Academy

First Coast Christian's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 68-42 margin over the Parsons Christian Academy Lions. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season.

First Coast Christian had a senior duo take command as David Ellis Jr. went 12 for 19 en route to 28 points and four steals and Tahrell Gilbert went 6 of 10 on his way to 19 points and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ellis Jr. has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chase Bradshaw, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

First Coast Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

First Coast Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Parsons Christian Academy, their record is now 3-11.

First Coast Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-22 victory against Covenant School of Jacksonville on the 14th. As for Parsons Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-34 defeat against Beaches Chapel on the 14th.
