Veritas Christian Academy stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They put the hurt on Trinity Christian with a sharp 61-40 win. The win was familiar territory for Veritas Christian Academy who now have four in a row.
Veritas Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Milanesi, who scored 22 points along with six assists and two blocks. That makes it six consecutive games in which Milanesi has scored at least a third of Veritas Christian Academy's points. Nicholas Jetton was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Trinity Christian saw an underclassman step up: Nathaniel Falciola scored 12 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Falciola has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Khan, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Veritas Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Trinity Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Veritas Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against American Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on January 23rd. American Christian School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 342 points over their last five matchups. As for Trinity Christian, they will be playing at home against Kearny Christian Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
