Verrado proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 49) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Ironwood Eagles. Verrado's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.3 points on average over those games.
