The Reed Raiders had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They really took it to Carson for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-38 victory on the road. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Reed also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Among those leading the charge was Tj Coulter, who scored 25 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Reed's points. Josh Peterson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The victory got Reed back to even at 8-8. As for Carson, they bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Galena the next time they take the court. Carson will host Galena at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Reed will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
