After having lost a blowout in their contest last week, Bayard were happy to find some success on Friday. They steamrollered Morrill 64-26. The win was a breath of fresh air for Bayard as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Bayard got off to a slow start in their last-week matchup, but they had no such trouble against Morrill and cruised to a 36-point first half. Morrill wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 26 to make it 36-26 heading into the break. Bayard put the matchup away in the third quarter with 13 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense. The victory bumped their record up to 2-3. The defeat dropped Morrill's record to 2-3.
Next week Bayard take on Hemingford at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams worked hard to overcome the odds in their previous battles and are not about to give an easy one away. As for Morrill, they will face off against Kimball.
