Carroll County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Virginia High on Tuesday. The Cavaliers never let the Bearcats get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carroll County pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Virginia High, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Carroll County is taking a road trip to take on Galax at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Maroon Tide at the right time seeing as the Maroon Tide are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Virginia High, they will be playing at home against Richlands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
