The Mustangs blew past the Bearcats 51-19. Considering the Mustangs have won four games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Malachi Williams was his usual excellent self, throwing for 201 yards and four TDs on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 59 yards. Brian Collier was Williams' top target, picking up six receiving yards.
City View didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Henrietta to a completion percentage of just 40%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Williams, Collier, and Marcus Campos, who each logged one passes deflected. City View wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 68.8%.
City View's defense also made the game a nightmare for Chaden Clark, racking up seven sacks. Henrietta's QB won't forget Nick Herring anytime soon given he sacked him twice. City View got some further help from Keylan Marks: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 14 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Despite the defeat, Henrietta saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cruse Coleman rushed for 172 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Coleman was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards.
City View's record is now 5-2. As for Henrietta, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
