The Davie War Eagles lost against the Mount Tabor Spartans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Davie was the victim of a tough 64-41 defeat at the hands of Mount Tabor. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Davie has scored all season.
Davie's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Aderhold, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Peyton Spaugh, who scored six points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Davie's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-6. As for Mount Tabor, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Davie will take on West Forsyth at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully West Forsyth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. As for Mount Tabor, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenn at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18.
