After flying high against the Cannelton Bulldogs last Friday, the Medora Hornets came back down to earth. Medora took a hard 53-37 fall against Columbus Christian on Friday. Medora was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Columbus Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
Peyton Walden continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Columbus Christian, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Walden's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Cam Pritchard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Medora's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Columbus Christian, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medora will take on Henryville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Henryville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Columbus Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lighthouse Christian Academy at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lighthouse Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
