Roanoke Rapids has gone a perfect 10-0 against Franklinton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. Roanoke Rapids will challenge Franklinton at 6:00 p.m. Roanoke Rapids is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Roanoke Rapids' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Nash Central 10-0. The Yellowjackets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lydia Carroll was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Odom, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Roanoke Rapids was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Franklinton fell victim to Southern Nash and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Firebirds, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Rams in their meetings with the Firebirds: they've now lost six in a row.

Roanoke Rapids' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklinton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Roanoke Rapids took their win against Franklinton in their previous meeting on March 4th by a conclusive 9-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Roanoke Rapids since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
