Cascade Christian (Puyallup, Wash.) took an early lead against Vashon Island (Wash.) and held on for a 49-14 victory on Saturday.
The Cougars put up 21 points in the opening quarter. Cascade Christian scored on a
Hunter Austin touchdown run, a touchdown run by
Jaelin Goldsmith and a Austin touchdown run.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Austin in the first quarter, CC led 42-0 at the half.
The Puyallup school expanded its lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. The Cougars scored once in the quarter on a
Josh Seaton touchdown pass to
Rudi Tracy.
Cascade Christian's standout player in the win was
Andrei Dyson. The senior running back kicked seven extra points. He has now scored one touchdowns on the season.
A 55-12 Cascade Christian victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
With the win the Puyallup school extended its winning streak to three games.
