Volleyball Recap: Benson's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

There's no place like home for Benson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Ralston Rams by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bunnies as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Benson was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 26-28, 25-19, 25-13.

Sumeeda Rai had an outrageously good game as she had 19 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last nine contests. Lay Lay Oo also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Benson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Benson's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Ralston, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coming up, Benson will take on Bryan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ralston, they will square off against Cornerstone Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
