The Southern Columbia Area Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They strolled past Nativity BVM with points to spare, taking the game 74-59. The win was just what Southern Columbia Area needed coming off of a 79-58 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the defeat, Nativity BVM saw an underclassman step up: Trey Keating scored 28 points. Keating is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last 14 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Adams, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Southern Columbia Area has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Nativity BVM, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.
Southern Columbia Area will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nativity BVM, they and the will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Weatherly is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
