Warden had won three straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 11-8 to make it four. They never let the Columbia Coyotes get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by ten runs or more this season.

As for Columbia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

For Columbia's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makena Kranz, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Warden beat the Coyotes by a score of 12-0 later that day.
