Eunice has gone a perfect 10-0 against Texico recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cardinals will host the Wolverines at 1:00 p.m. Eunice will be looking to extend their current 24-game winning streak.
Eunice had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Jal on Tuesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 15-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Cardinals have won 15 games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Luis Zamora made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
Eunice always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jal only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, Texico didn't have quite enough to beat Santa Rosa on Thursday and fell 6-4. The loss continues a trend for the Wolverines in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.
Texico saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Reese, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Texico's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Eunice, their victory bumped their record up to 24-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Eunice has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Texico struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Eunice's way against Texico in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Eunice made off with a 14-2 win. Will the Cardinals repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
