Quinton Archer was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Aidan Smith was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
The victory made it two in a row for Platteview and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Bennington, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Platteview was able to grind out a solid victory over Bennington in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, winning 6-2.
