Jon Olsen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Wright, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Box Elder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Roy.
Box Elder also got a good showing from Jensen Kennedy, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.
At the plate, Kellen Kohler and Judd Howells did some serious damage despite the final result: Kohler got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run, while Howells went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Northridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Box Elder's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Northridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. It's a different story for Box Elder, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Northridge's hitters?
