The Millbrook Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Heritage Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Millbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Sanderson and fell 4-3.

Chase Schoch was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Finn Clougherty made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Four bases. while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Liam Clay, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Heritage was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They came up short against Millbrook, falling 8-2.
Andrew Briganti and Tyler Abbe did some serious damage despite the final result: Briganti got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI, while Abbe scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Abbe is becoming a predictor of Heritage's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
Millbrook's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Millbrook has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Heritage struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Millbrook took their victory against Heritage in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Millbrook since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
