The Woods Cross Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Weber Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Woods Cross has six straight victories, Weber has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Woods Cross gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Bountiful by a score of 11-8.
Dawson White looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Alex Razee was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those five hits gave him a new career-high. Jesse Simmons also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Woods Cross kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Farmington hit Weber with a four-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors fell just short of the Phoenix by a score of 6-5.
Cooper Johnson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Another player making a difference was Zac Howell, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI.
Weber's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Woods Cross, their record now sits at 12-7.
Weber's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Woods Cross has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Weber, though, as they've been averaging 9.6 hits. Given Woods Cross' sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
Woods Cross got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 against Weber by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
