The Quaker Valley Quakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 82-61 margin over Ambridge. Winning may never get old, but Quaker Valley sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Quaker Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joey Coyle out in front who scored 24 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Coyle has scored at least 25% of Quaker Valley's points. Dominic Cox-Giles was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Quaker Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Ambridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quaker Valley will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bishop Canevin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ambridge will finish 2023 at home by hosting Bethel Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
