York is 2-8 against Greely since June of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Wildcats will take on the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with York sitting on five straight wins and Greely on three.
York is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 20-10 margin over Freeport on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Falcons since May 15, 2017.

York got a massive performance out of Robbie Hanscom, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and four RBI. Those five runs gave Hanscom a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bradley Carr, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5.
York was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Greely and Wells have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Rangers came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 6-2.
Greely also got a great performance from Sylas Almy as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.1 innings pitched. Almy has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyle Soule, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
York's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Greely, their record is now 12-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. York has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .473. However, it's not like Greely struggles in that department as they've averaged .439. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
York suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Greely when the teams last played on May 14th. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
