The Cedar Valley Aviators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They snuck past Timpanogos with a 60-54 victory. For Cedar Valley, this counts as revenge for the 64-40 loss Timpanogos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cedar Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Bawden, who scored 13 points along with four blocks. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Larson, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
Several Timberwolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaxen Mccuistion, who scored 15 points. The match was Mccuistion's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Noah Curtis was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Cedar Valley's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Timpanogos, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-1.
Cedar Valley and Sherwood will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at. Sherwood is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Timpanogos, they will square off against East at 5:45 p.m. on December 29th.
