Even though the Midland Park Panthers scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, the Parsippany Redhawks still came out on top. Parsippany escaped with a win against Midland Park by the margin of a single free throw, 58-57.
It was another big night for Arthur Smith, who scored 26 points along with three steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Justin Zitelli was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Parsippany now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Midland Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parsippany will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Mountain Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. As for Midland Park, they will face off against Saddle River Day at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
