The Antioch Sequoits had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against Lakes by a score of 50-39. That's two games straight that Antioch has won by exactly 11 points.
Antioch found their leader in underclassman Heidi Rathmann, who scored 26 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Rathmann has scored at least a third of Antioch's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Webb, who scored eight points.
Antioch's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lakes, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Round Lake the next time they take the court. Antioch will head out to face Round Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lakes will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
