Peetz and Prairie are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Peetz Bulldogs on the road again on Friday and play against the Prairie Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Peetz focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday.
Peetz posted their biggest win since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They blew past Fleming 70-43 on the road. Given Peetz's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Fleming is ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Peetz's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhyder Bayne, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Connor Schumacher was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Prairie strolled past Fleming with points to spare last Saturday, taking the game 43-24. The win was just what Prairie needed coming off of a 60-34 loss in their prior matchup.
Peetz's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Prairie, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Peetz against Prairie in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 72-32 victory. With Peetz ahead 47-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
