Even though the Gloucester City Lions scored an imposing 55 points on Thursday, the Woodbury Thundering Herd still came out on top. Woodbury took their match against Gloucester City 64-55. The win made it back-to-back wins for Woodbury.
Despite the loss, Gloucester City saw an underclassman step up: Keegan Cohan scored 18 points along with two steals. Cohan continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Light, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
The victory got Woodbury back to even at 9-9. As for Gloucester City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Woodbury will challenge Collingswood at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collingswood is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Gloucester City, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Highland Regional at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Highland Regional is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
