Baseball Recap: Shaw Comes Up Short

Shaw lost against Northside back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Shaw lost 10-2 to Northside. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sincere Ford was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Shaw's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 10-11 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Otis Stephens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Shaw's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaw will welcome Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside, they will face off against Harris County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
